It’s where my mom grew up, where I grew up, and where my kids are growing up. I treasure the schools and the river and the libraries.

Walk ability around downtown Worthington. Old Worthington Library. Historically multiracial and accepting. Limited advertising and signage. Easy accessibility to other parts of central Ohio. Good schools with alternative options. Unique neighborhoods with limited cookie-cuttter homes

The welcoming, inclusive community is what makes Worthington great. There are things that other city do better (shopping, dining, etc.) but nothing tops the vibe of our little city.

I treasure the historic, small-town community vibe of Worthington, even though our our community is part of a much bigger metropolitan area. I treasure our beautiful neighborhoods with mature trees, our parks (and especially the Olentangy Trail), and the level of community involvement and activities, such as the Farmers’ Market, July 4th celebrations, Concerts on the Green, etc.

Inclusion. Every June when the pride flags go up, it just makes me feel so much joy every day as I drive through old Worthington. I am not personally lgbtq but I love the message it sends. We are diverse and want to love & include everyone. Exactly what a good community should be.

The downtown area!

July 26, 2025 at 6:15 pm

I like that we do not have a lot of sprawling, dense, apartment buildings. I like our single family homes with green lawns and dense trees. It’s honestly what keeps us from going elsewhere, you definitely do not find established trees with new communities. I love the wildlife, we regularly see opossums, deer, raccoons, birds, and rabbits, to name a few, and have seen fox, coyotes and even a mink. It’s amazing and unique and I would hate to lose it. I like how walkable our community is.

July 26, 2025 at 6:11 pm
