The best thing about Worthington is the location. Close to major freeways, groceries, bike trails, downtown area, Community Center, and a public pool. |

The fantastic school system with teachers that really care about the students. The feeling that businesses want each other to thrive. The overall awareness of our environment, climate and other humans by its residents. |

I treasure Worthington’s history that points up the advantage of having been established in 1803 by people who valued community, education, industry and order. In the 1960’s, I-270’s destruction of our section of the third scenic river designated in Ohio at Old Wilson Bridge Road at Olentangy River Rd. brought home to residents and our City the threat of loss of place and geography and the importance of deliberation and planning. I treasure that Worthington is inside I-270, buffered from rapid and chaotic development where society values mobility and economic progress at the cost of human connection and… aesthetics. I treasure the importance of a sense of place and community that Worthington offers. It is healthy for body and soul. |

Neighborhood community; much of Worthington is easily walkable; farmers market and good restaurants; emphasis on environmental sustainability and social responsibility; city activities (parades, fireworks, etc.) and services (community center). |

Low density, very few buildings above two stories so we can see the sky. Good schools and services. Historic architecture and family focused activities. |

Colonial vibe and no development. Don’t care for the deer you are doing nothing about |

The fact that lots of people return to live in Worthington after they’ve gone off to college or after they’ve lived/worked for a while in a different city. |

We’re able to treasure Worthington, today, due to happenstance and recognition by residents and the City in the 1960s that we could lose it to chaotic overdevelopment and all of its attendant downsides. I-270 destroyed the third designated Ohio scenic river section at Wilson Bridge Rd and Olentangy River Rd. This brought home an awareness to residents and the City not lose sight of the importance of a sense of place and community. We’re blessed to be an already established community inside the boundary of the outer-belt. We’ve had regulation preventing the over-building we see around us in Central Ohio where there is too great an emphasis on mobility and economic progress to the point of creating anonymity and stress. It is unhealthy for all – rich, poor, animal or plant I would welcome senior housing/affordable housing of medium density and central public space along with the commercial in the open areas around the City. |
