I love Worthington for a lot of things! The nature, the friendliness, the community, the downtown events, the restaurants AND shops downtown (I love Birch, Graeters, and Joya’s especially). The open/accepting/progressive community members. The deer! Even though they eat my plants. Worthington is so walkable. The list goes on! |

How many wonderful independent businesses are part of the community, many within walking distance. Also the vibrancy of Old Worthington |

The New England history that provided a center of town and a user-friendly town square. Taking Worthington Historical Society history bus tours. Dependability with services such as snow removal, garbage and recyclable collection, and road repair. Opportunities to enjoy life with Concerts on the Green and other events on the Square. The Community Center and Senior Center. While we don’t have school age children, I appreciate the fine reputation Worthington Schools maintains. Commercial places to shop and eat. The annual Martin L. King Jr. commemorative service and its broadcast online. Watching fireworks. Proximity to other parts of Central Ohio. The attention to approval of buildings to preserve its sense of history and scale (for example, CVS Pharmacy on High). Availability to a bus line. Our local neighborhood newsletter published by volunteer neighbors. Neighborhood get-togethers. |

* The “sense of place” … that Worthington is a distinctive area with a sense of community and local identity and character that instill pride in the residents and have a positive reputation in the city and region. |

Small community. Old houses. Unique, charm. No new development in housing. Landlocked. Moved from highly developed area. Not “diverse” and thus full of crime like say, Whitehall. |

I love how much green space there is. Unfortunately most of it is privately owned and as a result, not responsibly stewarded. I work had to try to improve said stewardship. |

The old WORTHINGTON. Both “old WORTHINGTON” and the old life style and freedom of the old WORTHINGTON prior to current times and trends. |

I treasure that our children chose to move here, where they grew up, so our grandchildren are within walking distance to us. |

The low crime rate. When you’re out in the city, you’re not thinking about personal safty and potential violence. The city council listening to the citizens and acting on it. |

Small, close knit community. Perfect mix of single family and multi unit housing, amenities, and services. Schools are great but taxes are too high. The low density of the city keeps the traffic down. |
