I treasure the “small town” feel, the friendly and amazing residents, the wonderful businesses, the many awesome events planned by Experience Worthington and other organizations, and most importantly, the inclusive nature of the town. This is so important to me!

Worthington has a great location with excellent services. Streets are maintained and parks are wonderful. Location is ideal and there are not too many people.

I do enjoy the location and the historic charm. The lower density is good. I don’t like Dublin or Westerville. But if this planning process requires more density, here are my thoughts below.

Treelined single-family neighborhood streets with good schools. It is a great place to raise a family and convenient driving distance from work and established shopping areas.

The most important aspect about Worthington is the school system and related community involvement both within the school system to make it a very unique and high quality experience for students and also the active participation and support of the community in recreational opportunities for kids. The people and community surrounding these two pillars have made Worthington a great community that attracts people interested in those things and keeps people in this community versus moving to other areas like Dublin and Upper Arlington which compete in similar areas. While the area is near to the bike trail and Antrim lake, Worthington has a very serious lack of high quality green space for residents and community activities.

The quaint downtown area.

I recently moved back after being away for about 10 years. I raised my kids here and was very happy with the schools etc at that time. I think the best thing about Worthington now is the community feel. The city’s concerts and such, neighborhood gatherings, precycle days and the welcoming town center all encourage community.

Downtown Worthington! The monthly events August through December – we run into kids from school, we can arrange to meet friends there. It is truly so special. Also the farmers market. My husband and I started coming to the farmers market when we were 24 years old (we are now most 40) and the farmers market is what made us look for a home in Worthington. We would drive around after the farmer market, admire the homes around OW and envision ourselves living in Worthington.

Value the downtown and quaint characteristics of a quiet town with varied housing and amenities with a lack of heavy industry, heavy traffic and lack of crime. Area shows pride of ownership.
