Walkability. I moved here from out of state to follow my daughter’s family. I bought a house in old Worthington and can walk everywhere! This is especially important for me, as I am losing vision and my driving days are numbered.

People, businesses, parks, schools, organizations

Quiet pace, not over developed, limited chain restaurants

1. Worthington Pools and the community that my family has made there since we moved to Worthington.
2. Worthington has excellent parks that are well maintained. The parks department is constantly improving and repairing the parks (we love Selby Park).
3. There is a wide variety of food choices in Old Worthington. We like that there are very few chains in the area and prefer small businesses to thrive there. Less interested in the chains in the northern corridor.
4. The farmers market is one of the finest in Ohio.

The sense of community. We live in Colonial Hills, and we know so many of our neighbors. I love that we live in a neighborhood full of little libraries, where people share their extra tomato plants and participate in precycle.

The community. The people. Traditions like the Sunday night concerts on the green, maker day, farmers market, Dora events. I loved the farm to table picnic event. The schools.

I love the walkability. The variety of housing, people, and neighborhoods. The trees. The feeling that people have roots here and that family matters and history matters, but not so much that we can’t change and evolve as a community in response to current events.

Activities in Old Worthington

I love the small town feeling, the friendliness, the excellent services provided to residents, the good schools. Let’s not lose these things when we make a plan for the future;

It is a clean, well maintained city with great schools and great people.

Historic charm of the city with easy walkable access to the Olentangy Trail, pools, parks, and downtown Worthington. This, combined with the great location within Columbus and the neighborly community make it a true gem of central Ohio and a wonderful place to live!
