Community and location. Love it. I’d like a modern commercial setting off high street with some sort of family friendly brewery/restaurants.

Worthington is my hometown, although I do not live there now, I hope to move back at some point. Beyond the beauty of the whole community, including the pride of home ownership in our city, I value most how Worthington, over the years, has evolved into a very progressive community. Just the fact that those with an interest have been solicited to provide input on this subject is super positive. The leadership and residents are generally free thinkers and use a great deal of common sense. It’s because of this positive attitude. I am very proud to say this is my hometown. I am also very excited that we have the best farmer’s market in the country according to USA Today. Worthington is top notch in all areas! Nothing is done without great consideration by people who are well committed to shaping this community for the future. My childhood memories are those of fun, being able to “rule the town” by bicycle at Swiminc., the tennis courts, baseball fields, the library, concerts on the green, church, The Worthington Players, St Mike’s festival, and who could possibly forget Shelby Park on the The Fourth of July … and more. And I never, ever felt unsafe. Anybody who had the chance to grow up in Worthington has been totally graced for the experience.

We love the atmosphere of old Worthington: the shops, food, green, and that there’s always something happening there. When my family visits, they always go to town and spend time.

I love how welcoming and inclusive the community is. It is a safe community and just feels so loving to all. The activities are also such a great touch.

(1) We love the walkability: being able to explore old Worthington and the mom and pop shops, and then step off the beaten path and look at the old beautiful homes. So anything that promotes walking areas along high street.

(2) as an interracial and multinational couple, we love that Worthington is diverse in it’s support of ideas, people, and backgrounds. We’ve noticed the community is very inclusive, and makes all feel welcomed. We love to show friends whom are not as familiar with the worthington vibe, and they always walk away impressed.

The small-town charm with the big city vibes. We have a great balance with so much potential for more. We also have such luscious green spaces and the river that you almost forget your so close to such a large metro area.

I love the small town feel, especially around the holidays, such as the tree lighting, or events on the Village Green, etc. It feels like living in a storybook I love it!

Small town atmosphere. Historic buildings and homes. Friendly neighborhoods. Worthington is not over developed with shops and apartments, which allows it to keep its charm.

June 19, 2025 at 8:25 pm

Small central suburb, great neighborhoods for kids to grow up with sidewalks and walkability to schools, lots of parks!

June 19, 2025 at 7:45 pm

How close the community feels. I love that it is a small town feeling, that there is a lot green space, vibrant, and can be safely traveled other than a car (bike, running, walk, etc) . Being part of this community has been generational. I trust my children can walk around, that my neighbors can push a stroller, and I trust the safety of environment.
