Worthington already has so many qualities and amenities that other communities strive for. The community’s character and history combined with current strengths and immediate opportunities makes the city such a special and desirable place.

I treasure the community in worthington! As a queer person I always feel safe and comfortable around worthington and its shops/restaurants. Everybody is willing to help anybody!!

I treasure the safety and walkability. I walk almost every morning at 5am because it is so peaceful. Besides deer, I’ve had no safety issues. Even with the deer I haven’t had any act out at me yet; just have to put my guard up around them. Another example of safety I’ve witnessed is that there is a bike on the green that has been sitting there for over a week. No one’s stolen it, no one’s taken it or moved it. It’s not really in the way but in other cities after even a few hours of it sitting there unattended I am sure it would have been stolen.

Historic old worthington, the parks, kid-friendly food place to raise a family, the schools, safe, the historic/colonial friendly setting, Sunday fundays, etc

– Location: close to freeway access, easy commute to cow town, airport, OSU, etc
– Variety of housing styles: some historical, some newer, mix of apartments, condos, single family
– Recreation: great community center, the Mac and its programs, bike path, lots of parks, events on the green
– Reputation and desirability (although I perceive our reputation has been dulled over the last decade)
