What I treasure the most is the strong sense of community. Where I go somewhere (in Worthington) I always see a familiar face. There is absolutely a small town feel within a larger city. I love the walkability of Olde Worthington from my house. I love the events that the city puts on in Olde Town. The community center is also something that I treasure. I also love the historic character of many of the homes in historic Worthington. The trees, parks, and flowers are also something I value. |

I love that it is a small community with tree-lined streets and that there is substantial investment of community members in making it a great place to live. |

The trees. The beauty of the areas currently developed. The concern of the city government and the community about future development. The swimming pool. |

I treasure the friendliness and homey feeling that has persevered since my husband and I moved here 55 years ago. Yes things have changed but not the character. I’m glad we made that decision. It still feels good – an easy place to live and raise kids. |

Walkability; friendliness; high value placed on history. The map activity is not working. I click on places and nothing happens. So I will answer like this: (1) we need more green space in central Worthington, and I would like to see the UMCH become that space, surrounded by a *limited* amount of housing and select commercial opportunities such as restaurants, coffee shops and *small* shops of other kinds. We also need to take better care of the greenness we already have. I am dismayed when I walk through downtown on my dog walk each day and see weeds coming up through the bushes, for example. And last week (either 7/15 or 7/16), there was a dead possum in one of the tree lawns next to House Wine on New England Street. From the look and smell, it had been there more than just a day. These are not isolated incidents. (2) we need more housing of various kinds—from apartments to single-family homes. But it’s crucial to make sure it is done really well, to complement (not copy but complement) the existing housing, and well made in terms of wearing well. And it shouldn’t encroach significantly on green spaces—current or potential. |

I love the parks, the trees, Old Worthington’s commercial district, the Worthington Farmer’s Market. I love our libraries, and our schools. I love the easy access to the Olentangy Bike trail. I love that we have sidewalks in much of our community. I love our great city services: our leaf clean up and the snow clearing. I love the programming that takes place in Old Worthington thanks to the Worthington Partnership. I love living in an area with an engaged community. |

Feels like a small community where people actually know each other and care about each other. Sidewalks make it walkable. Schools are great. Downtown is charming. |

Modest traffic, not awful as far as light pollution, small town feel (most treasured), cute shops/eateries, so far not succumbing to pressure to overdevelop like Grandview and Dublin and New Albany. Love the mature trees and shade they provide, the wildlife especially the deer! Mixture of house styles and excellent city services. |

Old Worthington, Farmer’s Market, location inside I-270, mature trees, good schools with diverse students, close to everything, the bike path, mature trees, responsive police and fire, trash service that picks up anything and has recycling on the same day, programs like prescription drop-off and e-recycling |

Small, intimate community of long-term residents with high education levels. Also important is the character of the town center, including the High Street corridor. |

I treasure the small town feel with big city access. We have community building activities every week available. I treasure the walkability and openness of the city. It’s not people piles on top of each other like some communities. People have decent sized yards and space but also the ability to commune in those “third spaces” like the green, shops and restaurants, the MAC, playgrounds, etc. |

The beauty of the downtown area, the amount of trees and green space downtown and throughout the city. Also the safety and security and quick response of our police and fire departments and good condition of our roads. |
