the friendly community with lots activities like farmers market, home tours, etc. It feels a little like living in a Norman Rockwell painting.

Safety; easy access to PO, library, farm market, and small ethical owner run shops; upkeep of streets and sidewalks; mostly friendly people.

Worthington is special because it is unique. From its origin as a New England village which sprouted in the middle of an Ohio wilderness, to its ability to sustain it’s character and charm to the present day; both are true treasures. Worthington is to be treasured because it is an example of a special kind of diversity. A municipal diversity which recognizes and celebrates the fact that towns and villages can choose differing development strategies. What works for a Clintonville, Dublin or Hilliard may not be right for Worthington. Worthington is unique because it is landlocked, which is both a treasure and a challenge. It is a treasure because we will always be a village. We are blessedly free of the pressures and downsides of annexation, growth and sprawl. It is a challenge because it fundamentally impacts our development options and strategies. As we cannot expand our borders, our focus must be on making the very best of what we have. Our land use decisions must take the long view in order to be strategically effective, in order to maximize their beneficial impacts to our residents. At finally, from a purely practical, day-to-day perspective, who doesn’t treasure the easy livability of Worthington! No gridlock, friendly people, good schools, a solid sense of community all contribute to making Worthington a very pleasant place to call home.

Liviability of the city. It has a charm and quaintness onto itself. It is very walkable and beautiful. And it is located close to big and small communities that have many things to enjoy. Neighbors are great. People care about each other.

Not much other than the convenience of the location, and quality school system.

It’s the sort of community that people choose because of the others who live in it, but not in the historical way. Call it redlining of values. Public schools, community building at least as well as mostly-white folks understand it, cooperation and constructive discourse.

I treasure the strong sense of community we have, our access to the Olentangy River Trail/local nature, and our schools.

Sense of Community. I grew up in Worthington so I may have a bit of nostalgia for a Worthington that no longer actually exists.

Access to trails and a walkable downtown
Community events and the farmer’s market
Good city services and responsive city staff

I treasure how much Worthington puts into the greenery of the downtown area. I like that we have green spaces still in this area with flowers. I greatly enjoy all the community events that we have. Worthington does a great job with keeping the streets and sewers clean.

There’s a reason that Worthington is constantly seen (and ranked!) as one of the best small towns in the country: the community is strong, and devoted to the betterment of the community. That’s because of the engagement of our schools, the dedication that the Worthington Partnership & Experience Worthington show to our community members. The historic feel of our town is partially due to the beautiful architecture, but mostly due to the local love that makes our community feel close knit while sitting just north of one of the largest cities in America.

It’s quaintness and history. Worthington has a wonderful charm and has not yet been developed up to the street and ruined with sky high buildings. Please don’t let LC ruin the children’s home site with their ugly overly dense plans. What they are proposing is just about making money, not about people living in the area.
